Why voice is what Plus pays for
Text conversations cost far less to run, so they're free and unlimited for everyone. Talking out loud runs on live speech recognition and natural voices for every local, and that's what Plus covers.
600 minutes is about 20 minutes of talking a day, every day. Run out before the month ends and you can switch to text or add 250 minutes for $9.99. Bought minutes never expire.
Speaking out loud, and being understood, is where much of the fluency comes from. That's why every new account gets 30 free minutes to try it.
Pricing questions
Do I need an account to play?
No. Open the game and start. Make a free account when you want to talk out loud or play on another device: your character comes with you.
What happens when my voice minutes run out?
You keep playing. Every conversation can carry on by text, which is always free. A voice talk that's already going is never cut off. You can get Plus or add 250 minutes for $9.99 from the game's menu.
Do Plus minutes roll over?
No. Plus gives you 600 minutes each calendar month. Top-up minutes are different: they never expire, and they're used after your free and Plus minutes.
How do I get Plus?
Open the game, sign in, then choose Plus from the menu and pay with Stripe. You'll need to be 18 or older, or have a parent's OK.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
Cancel any time from Manage Plus in the game's menu, and Plus runs to the end of the period you paid for. If you change your mind within 14 days of buying, we'll refund you. See the refund policy.
What currency are prices in?
US dollars.
